Rachel

Communications and Development Coordinator

Rachel is the Communications and Program Coordinator at BEST. Originally from a small town in Michigan, she graduated from Michigan State University with a B.A. in Arts and Humanities in 2018, specializing in topics related to income inequality, institutionalized oppression, and poverty solutions. Rachel spent the last four years in Detroit working in a variety of roles at a community-based nonprofit. She brings dedicated experience working in community outreach, communications, social media, graphic design, and advocacy.

Currently, Rachel is working towards completing her master's program at the Evans School of Public Policy and Governance at the University of Washington. She enjoys spending time with her partner and cats, quilting, playing basketball, and exploring nature.
